Managed IT · Kansas City
Your business has enough moving parts. IT should help.
Ongoing technology support for small and medium-sized businesses in the Kansas City area, including scheduled on-site service and the infrastructure work behind it.
The problem
IT usually gets attention only when something stops.
A printer nobody can reach. A laptop that takes a morning to set up for a new hire. Backups that exist but have never been restored. A firewall configured once, by someone who has since left. Passwords shared because the proper access was never arranged.
Most of it is manageable when someone owns it. Our managed IT work covers the day-to-day requests your staff raise, plus the maintenance that prevents the next interruption: patching, backups tested for real, network equipment that is actually documented, and accounts that reflect who works there now.
A straight answer on scope
We build each engagement around your environment rather than a tiered package. Before anything is signed, you get a written description of what is covered, who is responsible for what, and how support requests reach us.
We do not advertise around-the-clock coverage, guaranteed response times, or guaranteed regulatory compliance. Coverage hours and response expectations are agreed in your engagement, and for healthcare we support the technology side of compliance work alongside the people responsible for policy.

Our approach
Document first, then reduce the surprises
- Inventory what exists. Devices, servers, network equipment, accounts, licenses, and backups get written down.
- Fix the fragile things. Unverified backups, unpatched systems, and shared accounts come first.
- Make requests easy. Staff need one obvious way to ask for help and a clear sense of what happens next.
- Plan the growth. New locations, new hires, and equipment replacement are easier when they are scheduled rather than urgent.
Beyond day-to-day support
Managed IT clients often need more than support tickets. Because we also build software and data platforms, we can help with automation, integrations between business systems, cloud infrastructure, and websites without handing you to another vendor.
Case study · Healthcare
Through a change, then the day-to-day.
A Kansas City medical practice was moving away from a hospital-managed IT environment and needed one of its own across two buildings. IMSKC planned the transition around clinical work, then deployed new network infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Zoom Phone, and validated each workstation for the people using it.
Once the new environment was in place, the same team took on ongoing support: scheduled patching outside clinic hours and a dedicated contact for network, email, phone, and workstation questions.
The same approach applies outside healthcare. Any business changing providers, opening a location, or separating from a parent organization needs the move planned and the result maintained.

Questions
Common questions about managed IT
Do you come on site?
Yes, for businesses in the Kansas City metro. On-site visits can be scheduled as part of an engagement. Remote support covers most day-to-day requests.
What does an engagement include?
It is tailored. We look at how many people you support, what systems you run, whether you need on-site visits, and what you already handle internally, then write down what we cover and what stays with you.
Do you publish support packages and pricing?
Not on this site. Current terms are being confirmed, and we would rather quote something accurate for your setup than list a package that does not match it.
Can you work alongside an internal IT person?
Often that works well. Internal staff keep the context and day-to-day relationships; we take on the areas that need specialist depth or extra coverage.
We think we have security gaps. Where do we start?
With an assessment of what exists now: accounts, backups, patching, firewalls, and access. That gives you a prioritized list instead of a vague worry. Remediation work follows from there.
Is your IT setup due some attention?
Tell us how many people you support and what keeps interrupting them. We can take it from there.
